Detectives Investigate Armed Robbery of a 7-Eleven In Bethesda (Video)

At approximately 3 a.m., 2nd District officers responded to the location for the report of an armed robbery that just occurred.

The investigation by detectives has determined that two suspects entered the store, retrieved merchandise and placed the items on the counter at the cash register. The suspect provided payment to the employee for the items and was given change back from the register. At that time, the second suspect announced the armed robbery by lifting his shirt and displaying a handgun. The suspects instructed the employee to open the cash register and demanded money. When the employee complied with the suspects demands, one suspect reached over the counter and removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The two suspects then exited the store.

As the two suspects exited the 7-Eleven, the investigation revealed that two additional suspects remained outside as lookouts.

The two suspects from inside the store, left the scene in a four-door sedan. The two suspects who served as lookouts, followed behind the sedan in a Range Rover.

Detectives reviewed the surveillance footage of the store and obtained video of the suspects.

One of the suspects, who entered the 7-Eleven is described as a Black male, approximately 20-years-old. He is approximately 6-feet to 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs 160 to 170 pounds. He is described as having a skinny build with a medium complexion. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, gray shirt, white sneakers, a black ski mask, baseball cap and sunglasses.

The second suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 20-years-old. He is approximately 6-feet to 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weigh 160-170 pounds. He is described as having a skinny build with a medium complexion. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black coat, light colored blue jeans, white sneakers, a black ski mask, dark colored gloves and sunglasses. He was also carrying a black handgun.

The two suspects who were observed waiting outside of the store, were described as wearing all black clothing.
