Daniel Ross, the voice of Donald Duck, Grew Up in MoCo

Daniel Ross is an Emmy-winning actor and producer, who is perhaps best known as the third person to ever officially voice Donald Duck. The actors was born in DC, but raised in Montgomery County– where he has quite the “MoCo history.”

Ross has lived in Silver Spring, Rockville, Gaithersburg, Olney, Germantown, and just outside of MoCo in Frederick. He graduated from Springbrook High School and attended Montgomery College in Germantown. Growing up, he frequented Wheaton Plaza and worked for many years at Wheaton Plaza, Target in Rio, and as a store manager of the Blockbuster on Goshen Road in Montgomery Village.

In his career as an actor, Ross won the inaugural Children’s and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice Performance in a Preschool Animated Program for his role as Donald Duck in Mickey and Minnie Wish Upon a Christmas. He first became the voice of Donald Duck in Mickey and the Roadster Racers/Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures and other specials and shorts.

In addition to voicing Donald Duck, Ross has also portrayed the voices of Lucky the Leprechaun for Lucky Charms Cereal, Starscream, Hound, and Mixmaster in Transformers: The Game (2007) .and most recently Gizmo and Stripe from the Gremlins franchise for the game Multiversus. He can also be seen in the movies, Ninjas vs. Zombies, Ninjas vs. Vampires, Ninjas vs. Monstersas well as Eduardo Sanchez’s Lovely Molly.
