Nominations are now open for the Montgomery Serves Awards, the County’s highest honors for volunteer service. The annual awards program, coordinated by the Montgomery County Volunteer Center, recognizes volunteer efforts in five categories. The categories, with links to more information about each award and nomination forms, are:
- Neal Potter Path of Achievement Award: For lifetime service by residents age 60 and up.
- Volunteer of the Year Award. For an individual, in recognition of service performed in 2022.
- Youth Volunteer of the Year Award. For a volunteer age 18 or younger who served in 2022.
- Volunteer Group of the Year Award, For a group or team or two or more people who volunteered on a project in conjunction with a nonprofit organization or as an independent project to benefit the community in 2022.
- Business Volunteer of the Year Award. For community service by a business or corporation in 2022
To nominate deserving volunteers, complete the appropriate online nomination forms by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 14. The winners will be honored at ceremonies on June 26 at Imagination Stage in Bethesda.
