Update: One Dead After Shooting in Damascus

Montgomery County Police responded to a fatal shooting in the 9800 block of Bethesda Church Road on  Sunday, June 18. According to MCPD, “at approximately 9:58 p.m., the Montgomery County Emergency Communications Center received a call for a shooting at the above location.

Upon arrival, 5th District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel located a 32-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on scene.  

There is no one in custody and no suspect information available at this time.  This is an active and ongoing investigation.”

According to Montgomery County Police, “A 20-year-old Capitol Heights man died Tuesday, November 28, 2023, after crashing his car into a parked vehicle on Spruell Drive.
