Madden Ratings For NFL Players With MoCo Ties

Madden NFL (known as John Madden Football until 1993) is a popular football video game named after  the late Pro Football Hall of Fame coach and commentator, John Madden. Every August, the game releases its newest installment and the weeks leading up to the release feature the introduction of the players’ “Madden rating” to start the season. Below, we’ll take a look at the Madden ratings for some of the NFL players with ties to Montgomery County:

Cam Brown: The Silver Spring native and Bullis graduate is an outside linebacker with the New York Giants. He has an Overall Rating of 63 with scores in the 80s for speed, acceleration, jumping, and toughness.

Keandre Jones: The Diamond Elementary, Montgomery Village Middle School, and Good Counsel alumnus has spent the last three seasons with the Bengals. He has an Overall Rating of 64 at outside linebacker. His 88 acceleration rating is his highest rated attribute in the game.

Jake Funk: The Damascus graduate is looking to make a home in Indianapolis after finishing the season with the Colts. He has an Overall Rating of 65 with an acceleration rating of 91 that is helpful in the open field.

Justin Herron: The Silver Spring native and Bullis graduate is coming off of a torn ACL that he suffered in October. He has an Overall Rating of 65 with ratings in the 80s for strength, stamina, and toughness.

Isaiah Coulter: Coulter grew up in Potomac and attended Bells Mill Elementary School and Cabin John Middle School. He is has an Overall Rating of 66 at wide receiver with a speed rating of 91 and acceleration rating of 92, making him a speedy option at wideout. He is currently on Buffalo’s roster.

Josh Paschal: The Good Counsel graduate is coming off of a strong finish to his rookie year, where he notched two sacks in one game in week 17. He has an Overall Rating of 69 at defensive end and a very high acceleration rating of 91 for the position. His toughness is also rated a 94. He plays for the Lions.

Bryan Bresee: The Damascus graduate was recently drafted in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft and has an Overall Rating of 71 to start his first year in the league. His highest rated attributes are 85 strength and 90 toughness. He plays for the New Orleans Saints.

Arnold Ebiketie: Coming off of a strong rookie season for the Falcons, the Einstein graduate has an Overall Rating of 71. He is on the higher end for most attributes (80s) with his toughness at 91.

Mack Hollins: Coming off of his most successful NFL season, the Wootton High School graduate has an Overall Rating of 74 at wide receiver. He also has a 90 speed rating, putting him on the higher end of receivers in terms of speed. He is on Atlanta’s roster.

Jordan Addison: The Minnesota Vikings’ 1st round pick out of Pitt grew up in Gaithersburg before moving to Frederick County for high school. He has an Overall Rating of 76 as he looks to make an impact opposite the man who many think is the NFL’s best receiver, Justin Jefferson.

Kendal Fuller: The Good Counsel graduate who plays for the home team (Washington Commanders) has an Overall Rating of 87 at cornerback. He also has a 91 acceleration rating that allows him to close on the ball, and a 93 stamina rating that keeps him from getting tired as fast as most.

Trevon Diggs: Coming down to 3 interceptions after an NFL leading 11 in 2021, the former Wootton Patriot and Avalon Black Knight also has an Overall Rating of 87 at cornerback. Diggs also has very high ratings of 93 speed, 95 jumping, and 97 stamina. He plays for the Cowboys.

Stefon Diggs: The elder of the Diggs brothers is now considered one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. He has an Overall Rating of 96, with ratings in the 90s in almost all major categories. He plays for the Buffalo Bills.
