Heat Advisory & Excessive Heat Warning Issued Until Saturday at 8pm

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Northwest Montgomery County, and an Excessive Heat Warning for Central & Southeast Montgomery County from noon through 8:00 PM on Saturday, July 29.  Expect the heat index to be at least 105 degrees Friday, with urban areas exceeding 110 degrees. The combination of high heat and humidity will create a hazardous situation in which heat related illnesses are likely.

Take extra precautions if you work or spend long amounts of time outdoors.  When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to the early morning or late evening.  Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke which include:
-Shortness of breath
-Feeling light headed
-Nausea or vomiting
-Headache
-Flushed skin
