MoCoShow High School Football Week 5 Top 10 (MCPS)

1. (LW 1) Quince Orchard 5-0: The Cougars posted their 4th shutout of the season, beating Blair 41-0. Running Back Iverson Howard rushed for 108 yards and 2 touchdowns in the victory. Its Homecoming this Friday at Quince Orchard as they host Seneca Valley.

2. Northwest (LW 2) 5-0: The Jaguars earned a hard fought win over BCC 14-13.  Northwest had 301 passing yards as a team.  The Jags will travel to Burtonsville to take on Paint Branch this Friday.

3. (LW 3) Damascus 4-1: The Swarmin’ Hornets defeated Magruder 35-7. As a team they rushed for 166 yards and 3 touchdowns. Up next, Damascus will host Sherwood in the MoCoShow Game of the Week!

4. (LW 4) Walter Johnson 5-0: The Wildcats dispatched Wootton 20-3. They will host Blair next.

5. (LW 5) Blake 5-0: The Bengals are 5-0 for the 1st time in school history as they took down Springbrook 28-7.  With the win Blake has clinched the MoCo 4A/3A South Division title! They will host Watkins Mill this Friday.

6.  (LW 6) Churchill 4-1: The Bulldogs held off a game Urbana squad 18-15.  Running Back David Avit had over 150 yards of total offense and 2 Touchdowns in the victory. Churchill will travel to Whitman on Friday in a big rivalry game.

7. (LW 10) Gaithersburg 4-1: The Trojans upset Sherwood 35-21. Safety Michael Nwaogwugwu had three Interceptions and 1 Touchdown in the win.  Gaithersburg will travel to Magruder next.

8. (LW 7) Sherwood 3-2: The Warriors lost another heartbreaker, this time to Gaithersburg 35-21.  They will look to right the ship this week as they travel to Damascus in the MoCoShow Game of the Week!

9. (LW 8) Paint Branch 3-2: The Panthers shut out Wheaton. 49-0. Running Back Mason Flowers had 75 yards and 3 Touchdowns in the win.  Paint Branch will host Northwest this Friday.

10. (LW 9) Seneca Valley 3-2: The Screaming Eagles defeated Richard Montgomery 41-21. Seneca Valley will travel to Quince Orchard next.
