Gaithersburg Police responded to an assault at the Lakeforest Transit Center on Tuesday, October 24. According to police, “Officers from the Gaithersburg Police Department, arrested and charged 43-years-old, Raymond Roy Addison of Gaithersburg, MD and 28-years-old, Matthew James Evans of Silver Spring, MD with first-degree assault, second- degree assault and attempted second-degree murder.
On Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at approximately 10:33 p.m., officers responded to the Transit Center located in the 9600 block of Lost Knife Road, for a report of two individuals down on the ground. Upon arrival, officers observed an individual assaulting another individual. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. During the course of the investigation, another suspect was identified as being involved and was taken into custody.
Officers located two adult male victims, and provided first-aid until Fire & Rescue personnel arrived. Both victims were transported to area hospitals. Both suspects were arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
