Cocoa Crawl, Pajamarama Shopping Event, and More Highlight 2023 Holiday Event Line Up (Takoma)

Starting on Sunday, December 3rd, the 2023 holiday shopping season kicks off in Takoma with the annual Pajamarama Holiday Shopping Event and Market. Pajama-wearing shoppers are rewarded with discounts for doing their holiday shopping early at Takoma’s unique, independently-owned businesses from 8:00 am – 11:00 am. Shopping is fueled by coffee, donuts, breakfast sandwiches and huevos rancheros at local restaurants. At 10:00 am, the Pajamarama Holiday Market starts with local artists and markers and more unique gift options. The Market is hosted by DC area favorite coffee roaster, Lost Sock Roasters and takes place in the parking lot of the historic Takoma Theater, 6833 4th St, NW from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
On Friday, December 8th, Main Street Takoma hosts its third annual outdoor Takoma Park Gift Market from 5:00 pm -9:00 pm with local artists and makers, food trucks, and Takoma restaurants serving festive holiday cocktails. Visitors are invited to shop and dine under the stars and surrounded by holiday lights. Vendor offerings include ceramics, plants, candles, jewelry, greeting cards, art, and more. Cozy fire pits and tarot readings are also offered making for a fun, festive holiday meet up. On Saturday, December 16th the annual Takoma Cocoa Crawl takes place from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. A variety of traditional cocoa and interesting adult options are offered at local restaurants and shopping specials are available at area retailers. Specials will be updated on the Website.
Holiday festivities continue all month in Takoma with local organizations hosting concerts, singalongs, alternative gift fairs, holiday markets, and more. The full line up is on the Main Street Takoma calendar here and updated daily.
