Montgomery Planning’s Great Seneca Plan: Connecting Life and Science team held two community meetings on October 23 and October 25. “It was great to share the first look at the plan’s preliminary recommendations and get feedback.” At the meetings, preliminary recommendations were shared for each of the plan’s distinct geographic enclaves including:
- Life Sciences Center
- Quince Orchard
- National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Londonderry-Hoyles Addition
- Rosemont
- Oakmont and Walnut Hill
- Washingtonian Light Industrial Park
- Washingtonian Residential
- Hi Wood

The plan team is scheduled to present the Great Seneca Plan preliminary recommendations to the Planning Board on Thursday, December 7. Watch it live or on-demand on the Planning Board’s website. A Working Draft of the plan is scheduled to be completed in the winter of 2024.
