Montgomery County Councilmember reflected on a great day “beautifying” Burtonsville Elementary School alongside the community with a little help from Buch Construction, who’s working on renovating the Burtonsville Crossing Shopping Center. Mink shares the following on social media:
“The sun was shining and the paint was flying at today’s Burtonsville Elementary School’s Beautification Day! Great to join parents, teachers, kids, and community members in making BES an ever more welcoming place for students to learn and play. (And to leave secret messages on a couple classroom chalkboards!)
Huge thanks to Buch Construction, the company working on the new Burtonsville Shopping Center, for volunteering all day today, and donating pizza as well as their own time and supplies. They’re also donating raised flower beds that students will soon be filling with fresh lettuce in their newly revamped courtyard!
Hats off to the PTA for organizing these events. They’re one example of why the BES PTA, which proudly elected an all-dad Board, recently received a Proclamation from the County Council for their hard work, leadership, and advocacy.”
