Five Taken Into Custody After Crashing Stolen Vehicle Into Tree Monday Afternoon

Five suspects were arrested after a collision on Monday, November 13 in Silver Spring, involving a stolen vehicle.

According to Montgomery County Police, “Aapproximately 12:29 p.m., a 3rd District officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle in the area of Georgia Ave. and 16th Street. The driver of the vehicle did not stop and fled from police, resulting in a brief pursuit. The pursuit ended in the area of Dennis Ave. and Douglas Ave., after a collision. There are five suspects in custody. One individual was evaluated on scene for minor injuries. No one was transported.” According to FOX5, the driver lost control of the the vehicle and crashed into a tree.

Police have not released the genders or ages of the suspects. We will provide an update if additional information becomes available.
