Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to northbound I-270 at approximately 2:30am prior to RT121(Clarksburg) for an injured person after a 25′ fall over jersey wall, according to assistant Chief David Pazos.
MCFRS technical rescue brought the injured person back to NB I-270 via a rope system while all northbound traffic was shut down for an extended period of time. The person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Based on information available, it does not appear that a crash led to the fall, but it is not clear as to how the person sustained the fall.
