Donutchew, a mochi donut shop that opened its first Maryland location in Gaithersburg’s Rio Lakefront in 2022 has announced its second Maryland location that will also be in MoCo.
Donutchew will be moving in to the spot recently vacated by Adonni’s Desserts, next to Macy’s Home Store and across from 7-Eleven, the donut shop tells us. Donutchew offers a variety of mochi donut flavors, sweet and savory croffles (croissant and waffle mix), macarons, bubble tea, and more.
Per Donutchew: “Mochi donuts are so deliciously different from the ones found in most donut shops and bakeries. Made with glutinous rice flour, the texture is dense and chewy(some even describe it as “bouncy”).
