Firefighters Rescue Person Trapped in Vehicle Following Collision

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a collision with entrapment on Shady Grove Rd and Research Blvd on Tuesday, November 21, around 4pm.

According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the collision involved a delivery truck and a second vehicle. Rescue crews extricated one patient who was then transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Some lanes are blocked and drivers should expect delays. We will provide an update if additional information becomes available.

Piringer tweeted, “traffic is messed up in area” at 4:53pm.
