Family, friends, and members of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad (BCCRS) and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service gathered Friday, July 31, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rockville to honor the life and legacy of Chief David S. Dwyer.

MCPD UPDATE: Clopper Road collision. Two vehicle collision with a total of 8 involved. One adult male confirmed dead on scene. Seven juveniles in a second vehicle all transported to area hospitals with varying injuries. Two in critical condition. Juveniles in the second vehicle between ages 12-15.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a collision at Clopper Road at Great Seneca Highway in Germantown on Tuesday morning.
A large tree limb brought down power lines, damaged a utility pole, and sparked a fire Sunday evening in the Wood Acres neighborhood of Bethesda.
Following several fatal incidents on the Potomac River this summer, the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service is reminding visitors that its Swift Water Rescue Team patrols the Great Falls area every Saturday to help prevent dangerous situations before they become emergencies. (more…)

MCPD UPDATE: “Fatal collision in the area of University Boulevard West and Colesville Road. The deceased has been identified as an adult male. A second adult male was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.”
