Kennedy High School’s Tessa Miller Wins Spot in Londontowne Symphony Orchestra’s Young Artist Concerto Competition

John F. Kennedy High School Student, Tessa Miller, has won a spot in the Londontowne Symphony Orchestra’s Young Artist Concerto Competition.

In this competition, Tessa competed with students all throughout the state of Maryland for the opportunity to perform as a soloist alongside the Londontowne Symphony Orchestra. She will perform the 1st movement of Haydn’s Piano Concerto in D Major on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Maryland Hall, Annapolis, MD alongside the Londontowne Symphony Orchestra.

She will perform under the direction of LSO Music Director Anna Binneweg.Tessa Miller will be featured on the 2023-2024 season, LSO “Brilliance Unleashed!” Concert, where she will also receive a $250 cash prize.

About Tessa: Tessa Miller began her piano studies at the age of five years old. Her interests include both solo and collaborative piano, as well as jazz performance. Tessa is excited to be able to have this opportunity and thanks her parents, friends, siblings, and teachers for their untiring support. She currently attends John F. Kennedy High School, where she is pursuing the International Baccalaureate Diploma and is a member of the choir, jazz ensemble, and drum major of the marching band. She is also a varsity member of the Swim & Dive Team and Softball Team. Tessa plans on pursuing a bachelor’s degree in piano performance in the future.
