Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a crash on New Hampshire Ave. and Ashton Rd. in Ashton that closed New Hampshire Ave. in both directions at approximately 8am on Thursday morning.
According to MCFRS Chief spokesperson Pete Piringer, the collision involved two vehicles. Initially some lanes were blocked but shortly after, New Hampshire was closed in both directions in the area of Ashton Rd. and Crystal Spring Dr. In an 8:42am update, Piringer stated that some lanes were open and that there was at least one trauma patient.
