Maryland Native Chris Olsen Makes Forbes Magazine’s ‘30 Under 30’

Chris Olsen, a Chevy Chase, MD native, who has earned over 12 million TikTok followers in recent years, has been listed in this year’s 30 Under 30 in the social media category.

Olsen grew up in Chevy Chase, MD and got his start performing in Bethesda, according to Bethesda Magazine. He participated in plays at local venues, including Imagination Stage and Glen Echo Park in Montgomery County. Though he now lives in Los Angeles, many readers have spotted Olsen back in Montgomery County plenty of throughout the years.

Per Forbes: “The comedy creator first gained popularity for recording his therapy sessions and coffee delivery series where he delivered java to stars like J Lo, Kamala Harris and Austin Butler. With 12 million TikTok followers, Olsen–thanks to his unabashed humor and vulnerability–is normalizing conversations around mental health and sexuality. Olsen was GLAAD’s first-ever Queer Advocate of the Year and also founded a sustainably sourced coffee business called Flight Fuel.”

Olsen recently went viral again for his video involving using the lyrics to Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” to start off a therapy session, with the video receiving millions of views across various platforms (available below).
