The Broiler has been serving the steak and cheese and Thin Crust Square Pizza (Maryland Style Pizza) in the DMV since 1959. After 64 years at 3601 Columbia Pike in Arlington, VA, the restaurant has opened a second location- this time in Maryland.

The Broiler recently opened at 9021 Woodward Rd. in Clinton, MD (Prince George’s County) and was given the stamp of approval by popular food reviewer “Big Schlim.” The menu consists of a variety of subs, with a big focus on steak & cheese, and pizza.

Per The Broiler: “It all started when founder Irv took a chance and purchased a garage/gas station on the Pike with his life savings and started serving the community with delicious and high quality food. With the hard work of Mr. Khalid and team, we have maintained the same high quality ingredients and old fashion vibes that makes Broiler THE Broiler. Since 1959, we have served thousands of steak & cheese subs to multiple generations of families who have made it a tradition, whether they’re minutes or hours away, to stop by and take out some Broiler.”
