Suspect Arrested for Gas Station Armed Robbery

Per MCPD: “32-year-old Curtis Cardel Jackson, of Washington D.C., has been arrested and charged with a strong-arm robbery that occurred on Thursday, October 2, 2023.  

At approximately 6:19 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to the Marathon Gas Station in the 9500 block of Georgia Avenue.

The investigation has revealed that Jackson and an unknown male accomplice entered the business, went behind the counter, threatened an employee, and demanded he open the cash register. The employee complied with Jackson and the accomplice’s demands. Jackson and the accomplice obtained an undisclosed amount of money and items from the store and then left the scene.

Through the course of the investigation Jackson was developed as a suspect. On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, detectives applied for and received an arrest warrant for Jackson charging him with robbery and second-degree assault. Jackson is currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
