Update: Both directions have reopened
Montgomery County has sent out the following alert: “Due to icy conditions, both directions of Frederick Rd (MD 355) are blocked between Shady Grove Rd and Ridgemont Ave. Expect significant delays. Seek alternate route.”
At 5:57am, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a crash involving three vehicles due to the icy conditions. A salt truck was requested at that time.
