Local Restaurant Named “Best Restaurant in Maryland” By Washingtonian Magazine Poll

Washingtonian Magazine has released its “Readers Favorite Restaurants” article with a Montgomery County restaurant coming in first place in the ‘Best Restaurant in Maryland’ category.

Bob’s Shanghai 66, located at 305 N Washington St in Rockville, came in first place according to readers. “Start your Chinese feast with the best soup dumplings in town, then wind down with a mountain of shaved ice”, Washingtonian writes.

The decade-old restaurant has quickly become a staple locally. Bob’s Shanghai was founded in Rockville in 2013. According to the restaurant, they “have been awarded recognition by the Washingtonian Restaurant Guide, the Washington Post, Yelp, and Zagat Survey.”

Menu favorites include the Pork XLB (soup dumplings) and the crab pork dumplings.  Other specialty dishes include Spicy Szechuan Style Sliced Beef, Salt and Pepper Crispy Jumbo shrimp, and Spicy Pork Wonton. The restaurant also offers photos of most of its dishes on the website menu.
