Locally Crafted is Moving From Current Location at Rio Lakefront

Locally Crafted will be closing its doors at its current storefront- located at 201 Boardwalk Place in Gaithersburg’s Rio Lakefront. The shop’s last day will be December 24th, 2023. A new location will open within Rio this spring, but the exact location and opening date has yet to be announced.

Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls will be taking over the space at 201 Boardwalk Place that is currently home to Locally Crafted and was previously home Joseph A. Bank. An opening date for the restaurant is not yet available, but construction is expected to begin in early 2024.

About Locally Crafted: “Locally Crafted is a community space where artists can showcase their unique products.  Customers will experience seeing the items in person, rather than through an online store, giving them the opportunity to feel and see the quality in person.  Locally Crafted appeals to customers who value unique items and prefer supporting makers from their own community over national corporate big chain stores.

As a female owned small business we are invested in helping to support other small businesses. By carrying only locally made products, we are creating a bridge between local makers and interested customers, enhancing the unique character of our community and helping the local economy by supporting small businesses in the neighborhood.”
