Jake Funk Returns to Maryland; Signs to Ravens Practice Squad

The Baltimore Ravens have signed Montgomery County native Jake Funk to their practice squad after signing running back Melvin Gordon to their 53-man roster following a season-ending injury to running back Keaton Mitchell.

Funk, 5-10, 205 pounds, played in 15 games in two seasons (2021-22) with the Los Angeles Rams. Funk was originally selected by the Rams in the seventh round (233rd overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He spent time with the Colts over the last two seasons and was most recently on the Miami Dolphins practice squad.

Jake Funk holds the Maryland state record for career touchdowns from when he was a student at Damascus High School. He went on to play at the University of Maryland

Per the Baltimore Ravens, “We have signed RB Melvin Gordon III from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. We have also signed RB Jake Funk to the practice squad and placed RB Keaton Mitchell on Injured Reserve.
