Rockville Police Continues to Seek the Public’s Help Locating Attempted Murder Suspect Who Struck Three Pedestrians With Vehicle

Per the Rockville City Police Department: “The Rockville City Police Department continues to seek the public’s assistance in locating the suspect wanted in connection to the December 14, 2023 vehicular assault in front of 199 East Montgomery Avenue seriously injuring three people.

Walter Giovanni Marquez-Aviles, age 44, of Gaithersburg, Maryland continues to remain at-large. Mr. Marquez-Aviles has been charged with three (3) counts of Attempted Murder and three (3) counts of First- Degree Assault.

The Rockville City Police Department, along with assistance from our allied law enforcement partners, are actively searching for Mr. Marquez-Aviles. If you have any information as to his whereabouts, please call 911 or contact the Rockville City Police Criminal Investigations Unit at 240-314-8938 or [email protected]. Callers may choose to remain anonymous.

The female victim, age 79, and male victim, age 18, remain hospitalized. The investigation into this incident remains ongoing.”
