Clarksburg High School has sent out a press release announcing the hiring of a new Varsity football head coach:

“Clarksburg High School is pleased to announce the selection of Mr. Brandon C. Martin as head varsity
football coach. Coach Martin is an alumnus of Clarksburg HS and member of our first graduating class.

Brandon Martin comes to Clarksburg after serving as the Varsity passing game coordinator and special teams coach at Rockville High School this past season. Prior to this season, Coach Martin was the JV Coach at Rockville where he guided the team from a previous 1-7 record to a 5-3 finish. Coach Martin got his start in coaching at Clarksburg HS where he was an assistant coach for three seasons.

As a player, Coach Martin was a three-year starter at Shenandoah University at cornerback. During his high school playing career at Clarksburg, he served two years as a team captain, and played at both defensive back and quarterback. He was a member of the 2007 team that went 10-0 in the regular season and he led the county in interceptions.

Coach Martin takes over a Clarksburg program that finished 3-6 in 2023. Coach Martin will serve as the football figurehead for Clarksburg High School and the entire Clarksburg community. He is committed to building a program founded on academic success, integrity, discipline, sportsmanship, and hard work. Coach Martin is excited to return to Clarksburg and lead our student-athletes to new heights. He has a love of the game, a strong vision for the program and is ready to get to work with our student-athletes.

Please join me in welcoming Coach Martin back to Clarksburg HS.”
