Per Adventist Healthcare: “Adventist White Oak Medical Center (WOMC) rang in the new year with the birth of the hospital’s first baby of 2024.

An Oxon Hill, Maryland, family welcomed a baby girl, weighing 4 pounds 11 ounces, at 12:37 a.m. on Jan. 1. Both mom and baby are happy, healthy and recovering on the WOMC Mother Baby Unit. The baby is among the first born in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area in the New Year.

As the hospital’s first baby of 2024, she and her parents received a special gift from the hospital – a large basket filled with toys and baby essentials.

“With each New Year comes new hopes, new dreams, new expectations, and new life,” said Nia Williams, director of Labor & Delivery at WOMC. “The team in the Women and Infant’s Services Department here at White Oak Medical Center are honored to welcome the first baby of 2024 and provide God-centered care to all of our precious infants and their families. We feel so blessed they choose us to bring their new life into this world.”
