The community is rallying behind the family of a young woman, Daniela Pineda, who was killed in a crash on 355 in Gaithersburg last week. A GoFundMe has raised over $7500 to help her mother pay for the costs of the funeral.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a crash that occurred at 18900 Frederick Rd (355) in the area of Game Preserve Rd in Gaithersburg on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 26th. Two vehicles were involved in the crash that shut down 355 for several hours.

Per the GoFundMe: “We are all devastated by Daniela Pineda’s loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Daniela the memorial she deserves to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes. I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Daniela’s funeral. As everyone who was blessed with Daniela’s presence, you would know how loving, and charismatic she was. Her presence would light up the room and she was always the life of the party. Anything would be highly appreciated ❤️. We’re also accepting through Zelle, sent to her mother Luisa Pineda-Alvarez 3018251372″
