FOX 5 Releases First Snowfall Forecast For Weekend Storm

Courtesy of FOX5

FOX5 has released its first call snowfall map for this weekend’s winter storm. As we get closer to the weekend, things will be fine-tuned, but look for many first-call maps to come out today, about 72 hours before the event.

The map has most of Montgomery County, most of Howard County, and all of DC and Prince George’s County in the trace-2 inch range followed by a mix or cold rain that should wash things out. Upper Montgomery County, most of Loudoun, Upper Howard County, and all of Frederick County are in the slushy 2-4 inch range.

As of Wednesday morning, it looks as though the things have sped up a bit and the storm will begin Saturday morning and continue throughout the day, changing over to a mix and then rain for most. We’ll continue to monitor and update you with any changes as we get inside 72 hours.
