Mr. Wish has closed its only Maryland location after a little over two years in business in Rockville. The news was provided to us by David Lay of Source of the Spring. Mr. Wish opened in September 2021 and was located at 1615 Rockville Pike in Congressional Plaza.
Mr. Wish was marketed as the “Number 1 fresh fruit tea brand in Taiwan.” and took over the space that was previously home to Honeyfish Poke- one of the first poke restaurants in our area. The space was also previously home to Robeks until 2015.
We are told the most recent owner of the closed Mr. Wish shop is associated with the upcoming Fruit N Boba Tea shop that’s taking over the vacant space located next to Montgomery County’s last remaining Baja Fresh, at 302 King Farm Blvd. Ste. 130. Construction for Fruit N Boba is expected to begin soon in preparation for an opening later in 2024.
Haagen Dazs will be replacing Mr. Wish. An opening date is not yet available.
