“Slight Winter Storm Threat” For Tuesday Into Wednesday By The National Weather Service

The National Weather Service has included the entire area in the “Slight Winter Storm Threat” category for Tuesday into Wednesday of next week.

This is exactly what it states…a slight threat of a winter storm next week. The reason we are at the “slight” level is because it’s still over 5 days out so there is a lot of times for things to change and no winter storm to come our way. The NWS included the following blurb in their Hazardous Weather Outlook, “There is a slight winter storm threat Tuesday and Tuesday night. If the threat materializes, it may cause travel disruptions.”

Currently the Euro (European weather model) shows what could be disruptive snow heading our way on Tuesday. The GFS (American weather model) isn’t as on board with the potential of the storm, so a lot remains to be seen.

This Friday we are looking a storm that could bring an inch or more of rain into the area. Though high winds are also expected, it shouldn’t bring as much rain as the rain storm from earlier this week. We’ll continue to monitor next week’s potential winter storm and keep you updated as it approaches.
