Driver Flees Scene After Hitting Fire Hydrant Saturday Morning

Hewitt Ave at Bethpage Ln in Aspen Hill is currently closed after a driver struck and damaged a fire hydrant on Saturday morning.

According to Chief Spokesperson for Mongomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) Pete Piringer, the driver of the vehicle left the scene following the collision and there have been no injuries reported.
