This past summer we let you know that popular Takoma Park Vietnamese food truck, Muoi Tieu (pronounced “mooey tew”), will be moving into the former Mark’s Kitchen space (7006 Carroll Ave, Takoma Park). The restaurant is now open.

In its new brick and mortar location, Muoi Tieu (which means “salt and pepper” in Vietnamese) has expanded on its menu offerings. The new concept also includes a small market section with Asian pantry items, condiments, snacks, dried goods, and other prepared items such as meal kits, pickled vegetables, and sauces.

In addition to the food truck menu, which includes banh mi, summer rolls, and salads, Muoi Tieu now offers more comfort dishes inspired by Owner/Chef Thuy-Tu Tran’s family, such as bun (rice noodle bowls), banh xeo (sizzling crepes), bot chien (fried rice cakes) and more along with beer and wine.
