The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 7am Tuesday morning for the entire area.
Per the NWS, “Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for all of the forecast area through early Tuesday morning. Light snow this morning may ease up around mid-morning before steadier snow overspreads the area mid-afternoon through tonight.”
According to the latest “expected snowfall map”, anywhere between 2 and 4 inches of snow is expected to fall, depending on where you’re located in the area. The “worst case scenario” map shows 4-5 inches for most of Montgomery, Frederick, and Howard counties, while the “low end amount” map shows about an inch (all maps available below).
