A snow squall warning has been issued for Montgomery County until 6:45 pm, impacting Interstate 270 from Frederick to Gaithersburg.
Impacts are also ongoing along MD 200, and Highway 40 and Highway 15 near Fredrick. Expect whiteout conditions, near zero visibility in heavy and blowing snow and wind gusts greater than 30 mph. Snow squalls come through very quickly, but drop heavy snow in a short amount of time. This leads to very low visibility and the possibility for roads to get messy quickly.
