Yesterday, the Montgomery County Office of the Inspector General released a new report on Wednesday, January 24, regarding Montgomery County Public Schools’ (MCPS) handling of employee misconduct related complaints and investigations. On the same day it was reported by MoCo 360 that Dr. Joel Beidleman, who has been at the center of the investigations, is no longer employed by MCPS.

The MoCoShow reached out to MCPS on Wednesday and received the following from spokesperson Chris Cram, “Dr. Joel Beidleman is no longer an employee as of today. He stopped receiving a salary as of Dec. 18   Personnel privacy law prohibits me from providing any more information.”

Beidleman was placed on leave on August 4th, a week before a Washington Post article was released that alleged Beidleman was reported to Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) 18 times in seven years and details alleged sexual harassment, workplace bullying, and other inappropriate conduct at multiple schools, spanning over a decade.

It was previously reported by Alexandra Robbins earlier this month that Beidleman “remains an employee on administrative leave” and stopped receiving a salary on December 18th.
