Kabuto to Reopen Today After Temporary Closure

Updated to reflect the restaurant will reopen at 4pm on Thursday

Kabuto, a Japanese restaurant located at 220 East Middle Ln in Rockville that offers hibachi, sushi, and ramen, closed at some point Tuesday and remained closed on Wednesday. The restaurant has told us it was a temporary closure due to illness, but will be reopening today (Thursday at 4pm).

Original report: Various readers reached out to us earlier this week to let us know that the restaurant was closed when they arrived for their reservations. We stopped by to find the restaurant closed and have called multiple times in the last two days with no answer. We have also reached out via social media and e-mail to no response. Currently, the restaurant is not accepting reservations. Two other Maryland locations have told us they’re unsure of what is happening at the Rockville location.

Kabuto opened at the start of 2019. We will provide an update on the future of the restaurant once we receive additional information.
