The left lane on the outer loop of I-495 between the Fernwood Rd overpass and Greentree Rd overpass in Bethesda is closed due to a pothole that has left several vehicles on the right shoulder with flat tires, per Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS).
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, the exit from outbound Clara Barton Pkwy to northbound Cabin John Pkwy (near MacArthur Blvd high bridge overpass) also has high water. MCFRS has issued the following traffic advisory at 11:17am: “OL I495 Beltway generally between Old Georgetown Road & I270Spur/Bradley Blvd overpass, specifically between Fernwood Rd, overpass & Greentree Rd, emergency roadwork, left side BLOCKED.”
