7-Eleven will close its Montgomery Mall location permanently on Thursday, February 1st, according to two employees we spoke with today.
We first reported that 7-Eleven would open a Montgomery Mall location back in December 2018. Plans gained approval a few months later and construction began a couple months after that, lasting nearly a year before the convenience store opened in the summer of 2020.
A reason for the closure was not provided by the employees, but the clearing of the store has already begun with about half of the products already removed from shelves and the process continuing when we stopped by. Overall it was about a 3.5 year run for 7-Eleven at Montgomery Mall.
