$5.5 Million, 32,000 SF Fitness Center Aiming For a Late Spring/Early Summer Opening

EDENS, a national retail real estate owner, operator and developer, last year announced its partnership with Domain Fitness & Performance– a new premier fitness facility at Burtonsville Crossing in Burtonsville. The fitness facility is now aiming for a late spring/early summer opening, according to its Instagram.

Domain Fitness & Performance is founded by local businessmen and former NBA players Jason Miskiri, David Vanterpool (NBA Assistant Coach, Portland Trailblazers and Brooklyn Nets/Associate Head Coach, Minnesota Timberwolves) and local sports and performance trainer Myron Flowers, who has trained leading elite local and national NFL and NBA athletes.

“We are excited to share our progress and momentum at Burtonsville Crossing, now that we’ve begun making improvements to the property. Partnering with Jason and the team at Domain, who are such an important part of this community, feels especially significant,” said David Germakian, managing director at EDENS. “Through retail partnerships like this and creating a public gathering space, our goal is to implement a dynamic center for the community, while simultaneously providing a first-class retail destination.”

Domain Fitness & Performance expects to open its 32,130 square-foot space in 2024. The club will offer a complete fitness experience with diverse offerings for all fitness levels–from youth to professional athletes–including personal training, fitness classes, and top-of-the-line equipment. Co-founder Jason Miskiri is also the owner and operator of three highly regarded Montgomery County-area restaurants: Society Restaurant & Lounge, The Angry Jerk and The Breakfast Club.

“Fulfilling an opportunity to do business and build something such as the Domain Fitness & Performance with people who I grew up with is nothing short of a special and defining moment within my personal and professional life,” said Miskiri. “The stakeholders including the community, EDENS, our District 14 leaders in Annapolis, our County Executive and County Councilmembers have collectively acted to help restore this part of Burtonsville to its rightful place. David and I have used life moments and lessons from our time in organized sports to evolve as entrepreneurs who will bring quality fitness, health and wellness options to this community.”
