Kara Hibachi & Sushi, which opened in the Potomac Valley Shopping Center across from Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg in 2020, has closed. A representative from the restaurant has told us that a new restaurant will be taking its place within a couple of weeks.
Osaka Ramen & Sushi will be taking over the location, presumably offering ramen and sushi. The Kara Hibachi menu consisted of a variety of hibachi and sushi options and was available on a variety of delivery apps.
Signage is up in the window of the restaurant announcing Osaka coming soon. The interior appears to be going through some remodeling as well. An exact opening date isn’t available, but we were told within the next couple weeks.
