Yesterday, the Montgomery County Board of Education voted to appoint Dr. Monique Felder as interim superintendent of Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) at their Board meeting.
Per the Board of Education: Dr. Felder returns to MCPS to assist with the transition while the Board of Education identifies the next permanent leader. She brings 32 years of experience in public education, including a career that grew in as superintendent for Orange County Public Schools in North Carolina, where she was nominated as regional superintendent of the year.
