
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a call for a crash on Brighton Dam Rd., off of New Hampshire Ave., in Brookeville on Monday afternoon.
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, a driver crashed into a tree just before the Brighton Dam, pinning themselves inside the vehicle. The driver was extricated and has been transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. There is no word on the cause of the crash at this moment.
Brighton Dam Rd. is closed near the Howard County border in the area of the parking lot entrance to the WSSC Brighton Dam visiting area. MCDOT is assisting with tree and debris removal and MCPD is on the scene.
