
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a crash that trapped two people inside their vehicles at Layhill Rd. and Bonifant Rd. on Monday afternoon.
According to an update by MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, the collision involved two vehicles with one person trapped inside of each vehicle. Both were extricated by responding crews. Two people were transported with injuries, one with life-threatening injuries and the other with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Police issued the following traffic advisory earlier on Monday: “Bonifant Road is closed at Layhill Road due to a traffic collision. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route. Expect significant delays.” Some lanes remain closed as of 5:25pm.
