Rio and many Montgomery County residents celebrated the opening of the IKEA Plan & Order location at 101 Boardwalk Place Ste 102 on Wednesday, March 13. The celebration took place from 11am-2pm and featured free food and drinks, including IKEA’s patented Swedish meatballs (they will not be regularly available at the location).
The store is open from 11am until 7pm, seven days a week. Customers can book an appointment and sit down with an IKEA expert while they design, quote and order IKEA products. There are no IKEA products or food available for immediate takeaway at the Plan and order points. Returns and exchanges are not available at the Plan and order points. Spare parts are not available at Plan and order points.
According to IKEA, “this new customer meeting point, called a Plan & order point with Pick-up, will include home furnishing inspiration and personalized interior design planning, with the addition of an IKEA Pick-up point, allowing customers to pick up their purchases made online or purchased at either Plan & order point location. Purchases made at IKEA Gaithersburg can also be arranged to be conveniently transported to a customer’s home or to another convenient point of delivery.”
