A Rottweiler puppy has been reunited with its owner after a good samaritan found the dog in a dumpster near her Silver Spring apartment on Thursday morning.
In a post on the neighborhood app NextDoor, Mia Brown shared the following, “I found a 6-7 month old Rottweiler in the dumpsters at my apartment complex. I don’t know who would be so vile and foul to discard of a living being this way. I called the non emergency police number and filed a report with animal services. Hope to receive an update on this little guy soon.
If anyone has any information or maybe wants to follow through with adopting him once he gets into a shelter; PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP”
The post was shared by the ‘Montgomery County Maryland Lost Pets’ Facebook group that has helped locate or reunited hundreds of pets with their owners through the years. After an an hour, the group provided an update stating, “We don’t know how he got himself in there, but his owner had been searching for him for a while, and Animal Control found and reunited them. The pup was very happy to see his owner!”
