
Teach Me To, a website that acts as an “in-person leisure learning marketplace that connects Students with skilled Pros for private lessons in different sports”, has listed various areas in Montgomery County in its ‘Top 13 Maryland Cities for Pickleball’ list.
“With its blend of historical charm and modern amenities, Maryland is quickly becoming a sought-after destination for pickleball players seeking new experiences and communities.” the report states. Though some are not technically cities, MoCo’s Bethesda, Rockville, Potomac and Olney are all in the top 10 across the state.
Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the county and Dill Dinkers has opened two indoor pickleball facilities in Montgomery County in the last year alone. Per the report, “Bethesda boasts 30.2% of the state’s pickleball lesson bookings.” Rockville is second in the state with 16.3%, and Potomac/Olney come in 9th and 10th with 2.3% of the bookings each.
