Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a call for a fire at a home on Market St E in Gaithersburg’s Lakelands neighborhood at approximately 12:45pm Saturday afternoon.
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, a resident was burning leaves outside when the exterior fire extended to the fireplace bump on the outside of the house with minor extension to the interior of the home. There were no injuries and nobody has been displaced.
