The City of Rockville Department of Community Planning and Development Services wants to hear from you on amendments to city code that will affect building and building regulations in Rockville.
CPDS will hold a virtual public information session at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 17. New state building codes take effect Wednesday, May 29. CPDS recently completed a review of the codes and developed proposed local amendments.
Building codes and standards — which include administrative and technical requirements for all aspects of the permitting, review and inspection process — govern building design and construction.
Rockville’s Inspection Services Division uses these key instruments to fulfill the city’s obligation to protect and enhance the quality of life, well-being and sustainability for its residents, businesses, visitors and structures.
